Field Based Business Development Manager (Buy to Let & Bridging) (City & South West London)
📍 Location: Field Based / City & South West London
💰 Salary: Up to £45,000 + generous quarterly commission scheme!

The role:
As a Field Based Business Development Manager, you’ll be identifying, developing and managing relationships with mortgage intermediaries, professional introducers and direct applicants in order to originate new lending opportunities in line with company budgets & growth plans.
Due to this role being field based, a driver’s licence and your own vehicle is a must. Please do not apply if you do not fit this criteria.
Your responsibilities will be:
- Originating, managing & developing relationships with mortgage intermediaries, professional introducers and direct borrowers within London & South West England.
- Managing deal flow to maintain a strong sales pipeline across both bridging finance & buy-to-let mortgages in order to meet and exceed agreed targets for both product lines.
- Working collaboratively with the Head of Sales and our client’s internal sales team to book and manage your own diary, with a primary focus on face-to-face appointments.
- Using the phone & emails to effectively respond to new business enquiries and record these appropriately on our client’s CRM system, whilst providing an exceptional level of service to our client’s broker partners.
- To develop an in-depth understanding of our client’s products, criteria and lending policy in order to deal with new business enquiries effectively and provide suitable training to intermediary partners.
- To develop an understanding of how to use our client’s broker portal.
- Compliance with our clients, TCF and Responsible Lending policies.
- To attend industry roadshows & events where required.
- To attend our client’s head office in Watford where required.
- Keeping abreast of competitor product offerings and market conditions to enable feedback internally for further product developments.
Requirements:
- Strong sales & presentation skills.
- A proven track record of success in a sales environment.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to persuade others.
- Strong objection handling skills.
- Technical product knowledge in order to facilitate and agree deals.
- Exceptional written & verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook)
- Great team working skills.
- Demonstrable success with meeting sales targets within set timescales.
- A strong knowledge of bridging finance & Buy to Let finance.
- An understanding of Treating Customers Fairly, Money Laundering, Data Protection, Responsible Lending, FCA & PRA regulation.
- Their own driving licence & a vehicle.
