About the Legal Team and Your Role

This role will be to support the continued growth of the business, reporting into the Deputy General Counsel. The THG Legal Team currently comprises 18 individuals across the different practice areas (including corporate, co-sec, property, tech and general commercial). This role would sit within the general commercial team.

Responsibilities (clearly linked to KPIs):

• Negotiating, drafting and advising upon a variety of commercial agreements, including supplier and customer contracts, distribution agreements, standard T&Cs of purchase etc;
• Negotiating, drafting and advising upon intellectual property arrangements, including licence in and out of IPR;
• Advising upon website related activity (including website T&Cs, privacy policy etc);
• Advising upon data privacy related matters (prior privacy experience not essential);

Role Requirements

• Law degree
• 3-6 years’ PQE in a reputed law firm or the legal industry
• Holding a valid practising certificate
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong negotiation skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

Full-stack C# Software Engineer

Location:

Hessle, East Yorkshire / Hybrid (Office & Remote)

The role

The Full-stack Software Engineer role forms an integral part of our development team. You will be working on exciting projects both internally, and for our partners to push boundaries, supported by a team of existing front and back-end developers.

This role is ideal for a Full-stack Software Engineer and provides a great platform to learn from the ground up, with the right mentoring along the way. You will have an aptitude for problem solving, an enthusiasm to learn the latest web development technologies, and have a passion for continuous learning.

As a Full-stack Software Engineer at Herd, you'll be working on innovative projects alongside our existing development and performance marketing experts. From the outset you will be driving standards and innovation.

In this role, you will:

• Core required skills including C#; JavaScript; .NET Core; MVC; Web APIs.
• Have exposure to technologies / patterns including HTML; Liquid; Containers (Docker).
• Develop rich web applications to the highest standards
• Write unit tests, integration tests and automated E2E tests
• Contribute to the continuous maturing of our development team using, Testing best practices, TDD, CI and CD.

Qualifications

Relevant qualification / degree or industry experience, but we're more interested in the quality of your experience than exact timings.

Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION AND PERSON SPECIFICATION

Title: Second Charge Mortgage underwriter / Advisor (CeMAP qualified)

Starting salary from £30,000 + Bonus OTE £42,000.

Location: Macclesfield

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To underwrite loan applications according to the criteria of the different lenders requirements, ensuring that the client is Advised and offered the best offer and rate to suit their individual circumstances, in a timely and compliant manner.

KEY TASKS

• Underwrite all incoming loan applications by checking clients circumstances with regard to credit history and information received from the contact centre fact find and searches done on Equifax and land registry.
• A detailed understanding of lender underwriting criteria is essential in order that the clients needs can be met by the determined lender.
• Calculate loan repayments based on clients income.
• Call client and give an advised sale based on clients needs and circumstances.
• Provide support for other team members as required.
• Proven experience working to targets

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED

Educated to A level standard or equivalent is preferred.

CeMAP qualification is essential.

A great telephone manner is essential and proven experience gained in a similar pressured role working to targets.

Additional skills will include being a self-starter, able to assimilate and interpret information, analytical skills and excellent organisation skills with the ability to prioritise.
