Field Based Key Account Manager (South / 1st and 2nd Charge Mortgages)


📍 Location: Field Based / South

💰 Salary: Up to £60,000 + generous quarterly commission scheme!

The role:

As a Field Based Key Account Manager, youll be responsible for identifying, developing and managing relationships with packaging partners in order to originate lending opportunities in line with the business strategy and growth plans.

Due to this role being field based, a drivers licence and your own vehicle is a must. Please do not apply if you do not fit this criteria.


Your responsibilities will be:

  • Creating, retaining and growing new customer relationships within the residential mortgage and second charge markets.
  • Liaising with our clients residential and second charge underwriting teams to provide a high standard of service to our clients broker partners.
  • Forming strong relationships with key stakeholders and third parties, where required.
  • Holding regular face to face meetings with broker partners in line with personal objectives. You should also be willing to work outside of your designated region.
  • Attending head office meetings where required.
  • To gain an in-depth understanding of our clients residential & 2nd charge broker Portal and Fusion system & be able to resolve queries.
  • Developing excellent working relationships with our clients broker partners and internal working relations with our clients broker support, underwriting and sales teams to deliver enquiries & completions in line with key business objectives & strategic goals.
  • To develop a deep understanding of our clients residential mortgage and second charge product range and a working knowledge of other lending products.
  • To develop a deep understanding of our clients packaging requirements set out in our lending policy to improve quality of loan packs and expedite completion by reducing the outstanding needs requested by our clients underwriters.
  • To deliver training on our clients products, criteria and packaging requirements to new brokers & their teams.
  • Answering incoming calls from broker partners regarding potential and existing loan applications distributing calls and actioning where possible.


What does success look like in this role?


  • Youll have an understanding of regulatory requirements and responsible lending policies, adhering to company policy at all times.
  • Youll be able to competently deal with incoming calls and case referrals from broker partners.
  • Will be able to competently deliver training on our clients products, criteria and packaging requirements.
  • Youll be able to reflect market changes and competitor analysis to support the product development team whilst developing a wider industry knowledge.
  • Youll be able to undertake additional duties, including system testing where required.
  • Youll be able to confidently represent our client at broker & industry events, demonstrating expert knowledge of their products and the wider mortgage market.




  • Were looking for people with experience in a similar field based role.
  • Due to the role being field based, youll be required to travel to our clients head office, other areas predominantly in the South of England and sometimes beyond, and also to industry & broker events where required.
  • Youll need a drivers licence and your own vehicle.
  • Youll also need to possess the ability to form good relationships with key stakeholders and third parties.
  • Youre a strong team player, self motivated, flexible, articulate, well organised, punctual and self assured.
