Location: Manchester, 1 day a week in the office

The Company:

Caroo has partnered with a growing digital agency who are looking to expand their content team, focussing on the SEO and copy writing to create engaging content that will boost engagement for their clients.


The Role:

This is a great opportunity for a Content Specialist who is looking to join a company where they can be creative and work closely with a range of clients from different industries. They also have a very supportive environment and have career progression for this role.

 

The Responsibilities:

  • Working alongside the SEO team, the Content Specialist should be comfortable using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs/SEMrush and AccuRanker to identify potential content topics and report on performance.
  • Support Content Manager with core tasks such as building and managing content calendars and delivering work to the highest standards.
  • Provide editing support for other members of the Content & Digital PR team, offering feedback and edits where necessary.
  • Conduct keyword research and trends analysis to identify relevant topics for our clients to cover.
  • Optimise copy and landing pages for organic ranking success.
  • Immerse yourself in each client’s brand guidelines, tone of voice, and customer personas to ensure all content is laser-focused on our target audience.
  • Liaise with designers and freelancers, and provide creative briefs where needed.
  • Carry out content audits, competitor gap analyses, and basic backlink audits to find opportunities to create content that resonates with the media: communicate new outreach opportunities to the Digital PR team.
  • Work collaboratively and build relationships with team members and wider channel teams.
  • Attend regular client calls to support the manager/lead as needed.
  • Place an emphasis on your career development, working towards your goals, training, upskilling and keeping up to date with industry developments, particularly Google algorithm updates that are focused around content quality.
