Role: Underwriter – Buy to Let
Location: Watford, 5 days a week in the office

The Company:

Caroo has partnered with one of the UK’s largest specialists who are looking to expand their teams among multiple departments.  

The Role:

You will be working along side the senior underwriters to underwrite loan applications in line with the companies’ lending criteria’s, procedures and policies.

The Responsibilities:

• Underwriting and assessing loan documentation including valuation reports and requesting additional information from brokers where required.
• Carrying out checks on the applications and properties and assessing their sustainability for the loan applied for.
• Proactively manage pipeline of mortgage applications which will include chasing outstanding information from third parties and providing timely updates to introducers which will help ensure service excellence is maintained.
• Recommending and referring cases to Credit Committee where credit committee approval required.
• Liaising with introducers, valuers and solicitors
• Overseeing cases from inception through to completion.

The Requirements:

• Underwriting experience, specifically with Buy to Let applications.
• Understanding of FCA regulations
• Attention to detail
